Rivals: Cheryl's American X Factor dreams have been left shattered. Nicole Scherzinger could be up for a position on the judging panel
She's been left hanging for weeks and now it looks like Cheryl Cole's X-Factor dreams have been shattered.
Speculation has been rife about the Geordie beauty's involvement in the upcoming U.S. version of the talent show.
Bafta-winning Peter Dickson, who is known as the 'voiceover man' in the hit show revealed back stage during filming for BBC's Comic Relief the Girls Aloud star will miss out on a two-year contract worth £10million.
Dickson, who is familiar to fans for booming out phrases during the show, told The Daily Star: 'I think it's all in complete disarray. They have only just decided they are not going to have Cheryl on the panel.
'I have not heard anything from Simon about me providing the voice.'
However, a spokesperson denied that a decision has been made regarding the panel, adding: 'Everyone is still talking, nothing has been decided.'
Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger also recently hinted that she might be in with a shot to sit alongside X Factor boss Simon Cowell.
Lewis Hamilton's other half recently joked when she was asked if she would be joining the hit show.

The poison singer shrugged her shoulders before breaking into a cheeky smile and said: 'Who knows,' before breaking into fits of laughter.
The speculation that Cheryl won't be taking a seat on the judging panel appears to be backed by Cowell who said in an interview a few days ago that the show was American and needs a U.S. judge.
He said: 'I have to make sure we have a lot of Americans working on the show to begin with.
Close: Cheryl and Simon have often said they have a special connection but if rumours are true he has not included her in the American version of X Factor
'I've got to have people on the panel with me who can judge American talent because I'm 51-years-old, I'm British and we've got people as young as 14 entering this competition. This is an American competition for American contestants.'
So far only one person has been confirmed by Cowell to sit on the panel - record boss Antonio LA Reid.
The Grammy-Award winner is a songwriter and record producer who has helped shape the careers of Usher, Kanye West, Rihanna and Justin Bieber.
